 Bastos Viegas, which will soon celebrate its first century in business, is the main  Portuguese producer and supplier of Non-Active Medical Devices. In recent years  the company developed a corporate image and created an international brand for  its products, which today are regularly exported to 80 countries on 5 continents.

 In parallel, Bastos Viegas in Portugal represents many of the large international  manufacturers of medical device disposables that are distributed in the Portuguese  market by its daughter company Nieto Guimarães, S.A.

 In 1995 Bastos Viegas created the first Portuguese catalogue mail order system  under the registered brand name Medical Express. Today this represents an  important daily aide in multiple activities directly or indirectly connected to the  Healthcare market.

 In global terms, the company carries over 7,000 items, all of
 which are made  available with fast, attentive, and
 high quality service in all of the different
 markets where Bastos Viegas is active.

 Distribution is supported by large-scale
 warehouses in three automated
 facilities with a total capacity
 of 18,000 pallets.
